MMSC Special rules governing penalty times added to reruns.

MMSC
623.2.7     Due to a lack of hand times or back up timing, these rules apply in no time situations. It is felt that it is not morally right to be able to win a race on a rerun following a run on which you fell but did not get a time. Therefore:

MMSC
623.2.7.1     If a racer goes off course or falls without losing a ski for obviously more than 1.5 seconds (in a manner uncharacteristic to a person's normal run) and completes the run and a time has not been posted, then a 1.5 second penalty will be assessed to that racer's re-run.

MMSC
623.2.7.2     Should the racer fall on a re-run following a run free of major mistakes where there was no time registered (and the 1.5 second rule does not apply) another re-run with a 1.0 second penalty will be awarded. (The intent is that this will even the score for our original timing error.)

MMSC
623.2.7.3     To avoid excessive tightening of bindings, it is permissible to get a re-run if one or both skis come off prior to the first gate.
